Wright Brothers Sponsors Largest 10k Walk and Run in Midwest Celebrates a Healthier Community

CINCINNATI— For the fifth year in a row, Wright Brothers, Inc. is sponsoring the annual Thanksgiving Day 10k Walk and Run, one of the largest races in the nation, attracting over 17,000 runners and walkers. The race is celebrating its 100th year in existence and is a tradition for most Cincinnati families to kick off their holiday season.

“We value an uncompromising dedication to health and wellness within our company, and that extends to the community as well,” said Charlie Wright, CEO of Wright Brothers, Inc. “Our sponsorship is our commitment to a healthy community which we believe is a stronger community.”

Over the years, Mr. Wright has taken his commitment to health one step further by volunteering to be the lead cyclist for the race. He knows the feeling of putting himself in stressful situations and learning from them.

“Leading thousands of runners on Thanksgiving Day morning is probably the most unique “job” I have ever had,” Mr. Wright said. “And what a great opportunity to share in the morning’s excitement.”

Wright Brothers, Inc. was founded on the belief that anyone can succeed in life through business, sport, and other endeavors. Mr. Wright set up a health initiative, education subsidy, and personal scorecard matrix for all his employees. Since then, he has been helping people achieve dreams while the employees have made the company more successful then ever.

The Thanksgiving Day 10k run and walk has a mission to make more people healthy in Cincinnati, to promote local company sponsors, and to contribute money to local charities. Too date thousands of runners and walkers have raised thousands of dollars for hundreds of charities. It’s a Cincinnati hallmark event. For more information: www.thanksgivingdayrace.com
